Back to School!

I will be closing down shop for a while to attend school at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado starting in Fall '23. I'll be building my skills, ability, and experience to make that custom "thing" you want! Some topics I'll be getting into:

  • Table and Fine Furniture Making

  • Cabinetry

  • Luthier Crafts (Stringed Instruments)

  • Wood Turning and Carving

  • Plenty more!

Stay tuned for the return sometime in 2025.

School life is expensive! I'll be moving out of state, living in a camper, and devoting most of my time and resources to this endeavor. Despite cutting significant costs, I'll still need a part time job to offset my food and living expenses. If you like my work and want to see more if it, consider purchase some of my build plans, the random odds-and-ends in my shop store, or donate directly here!

Computer nerd by day, wood worker by night, weekend and every bit of free time in between.

In 2018, I had an idea for recessed shelves to spruce up my kitchen a bit and thought, "Psh, I could do that in a weekend!" I also had no tools or even a workbench so I was starting completely from scratch. That project took nearly a year to get exactly right and I learned just about everything with what Not to do. Along the way I worked on dozens of other projects. That year taught me valuable woodworking skills, patience and gave me an immense appreciation for the craft. After returning to civilian life from active duty deployments, this was a productive and gratifying way to keep my mind occupied, focused and moving forward.

Every piece I make has some part of me with it. Not blood, not sweat, but my time and history. I can only make so many tables or cutting boards or cabinets, so everyone of them is special in that I devote myself to it and focus on the details where other big name assembly line manufacturers may miss. Besides building, seeing the satisfied and excited look in people's eyes when I deliver their customized "thing" makes it that much more worth it.
